Police State Raids Family’s Home: “The Fight Has Officially Been Brought To My Front Door”

police-raid-

If you think we are free, think again!! This should be a warning that we are being watched on the Internet and it will be a matter of time before this comes to YOUR front door. When certified firearms instructor Shawn Moore posted a photo of his 11 year-old son on Facebook the last thing he expected was a SWAT style raid on his home. The picture showed his son, a licensed hunter, holding his new birthday gift, a .22 caliber rifle.

While Moore’s son proudly displaying his semi-automatic personal defense rifle was completely legal, an anonymous tipster contacted New Jersey’s Department of Children and Family Services and declared that the Moore family was neglecting and abusing their child, an unfounded accusation that led to the mobilization of local police who were apparently not at all concerned with the unconstitutionality of their actions which violated numerous protections of the Moore family including their right to bear arms, their right to be secure in their homes, their right to speak freely, and their right to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
Of critical importance is that the police who raided the Moore home never even saw the photo.

Raid

“It was all hear say. Just a phone call saying someone saw a pic of a child holding a gun,” reports Moore.
Shawn Moore recounted the incident at the Delaware Open Carry forums:
The fight has officially been brought to my front door.
Last night I was out with a buddy of mine. I got a text from my wife that the cops and DYFS [Division of Youth and Family Services] are at the house and they wanna check out my guns and needed me to open my safe.
I’m instantly on my way. I get in contact with [attorney] Evan Nappen on the way. I explain the situation.
I walk in my house and hand the phone to the first cop I see. Then direct all of them outside. DYFS got a call because of a pic of my son holding a gun.
They wanted to look around and check all my guns out, make sure they were all registered.
Obviously that didn’t go well because I refused.
I had Nappen on speaker phone the entire time so they had to deal with both of us. They kept trying to pressure me to open my safe. They had no warrant, no charges, nothing.
I didn’t budge.
I was told I was being “unreasonable” and that I was acting suspicious because I wouldn’t open my safe. Told me they were gonna get a search warrant. Told em go ahead.
Nappen (my lawyer) asked me for the DYFS workers name. She wouldn’t give it. I asked for credentials and she wouldn’t show them. I tried to take a pic of her and she turned around real fast and walked away.
After a while of them threatening to take my kids, get warrants and intimidation they left. Empty handed and seeing nothing.
People it can happen that fast.
Police and Family Services overstepped their bounds when they illegally entered this man’s home, demanded he open his gun safe, and threatened to take away his children because of an anonymous tip based on absolutely zero evidence.
This is the world in which we now find ourselves, where an American exercising his right to bear arms is considered suspicious simply because he refuses to give up his Constitutionally protected rights.
If you resist in any form or fashion you are immediately considered a criminal or terrorist.
The government and its storm troopers will continue to act brazenly, violating the rights of Americans until they are held accountable. As citizens, we are left with no other choice than to resist the tyranny and fight back, just as Shawn Moore did when they came for his guns AND his children. We can do this by understanding the laws of the land, and by documenting every interaction with officials of the government, who will stop at nothing to pursue their agenda and stroke their own egos.
They will come to each of our front doors, and when they do, we must resist. We must fight back with every tool our Founding Fathers afforded us.

Gun Owners Get A Discount

Gun owners get a discount at Va. pizza shop

Open Carry

This is awesome and needs to go viral. Small business owners who support Second Amendment rights have a say in this fight.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A Virginia Beach pizza shop owner is showing his support for firearm rights by giving gun owners a 15 percent discount.

The discount is given to anyone who brings a gun or concealed handgun permit to All Around Pizzas and Deli.
Owner Jay Laze tells news media outlets that he’d planned on offering the discount for a limited time. But he says the response has been overwhelming and he might make it permanent.
Since the discount began last Friday, Laze says 80 percent of his customers have brought guns into the pizza shop. He says one customer came in with an AK-47.
Laze is a gun owner and says he’s always been a supporter of the right to carry firearms.

Several Major Gun Manufacturers Refusing Business With Law Enforcement in New York

Several Major Gun Manufacturers Refusing Business With Law Enforcement in New York

The general feeling amongst several gun manufacturers in the Empire State is that, if lawmakers are going to disarm law abiding citizens then they are going to limit the ability of law enforcement and government officials to obtain their products as well.

Olympic Arms is not only halting sales of their weapons to law enforcement, but they’re demanding repeal of the law and an apology to the American people.
The latest update has six major weapons manufacturers joining the boycott.
Breitbart has a portion of each companies statements in regards to anti-gun legislation, including Larue Tactical, Olympic Arms, York Arms, EFI, Templar Custom, and Cheaper Than Dirt.
The most compelling statement in my view comes from York Arms, which simply ends with a statement to government customers – “Your orders have been cancelled”.
"Based on the recent legislation in New York, we are prohibited from selling rifles and receivers to residents of New York. We have chosen to extend that prohibition to all governmental agencies associated with or located within New York. As a result we have halted sales of rifles, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, machine guns, and silencers to New York governmental agencies.
For “civilian” customers residing in New York:
At your choice, we will:
  • complete your order and ship to a dealer of your choice outside of NY
  • refund your payment in full
  • hold your items here for up to 6 months, at no charge – if you are in the process of leaving NY and taking residence in another state.
For LE/Govt customers in New York:
  • Your orders have been cancelled."

Mexican Teenagers Killed with Fast and Furious Weapons

Confirmed: Weapons from Fast and Furious were used to gun down teenagers at a birthday party in Mexico in January 2010.

As news breaks that 57 more Fast and Furious weapons have been found in Mexico, it is also being confirmed that some of those weapons were used to slaughter 14 Mexican teenagers and wound 12 more near Ciudad Juarez.
According to reports, a group of armed commandos parked outside a birthday party attended by high school and college students on January 30, 2010, and opened fire with some of the weapons which had been smuggled across the border during the Fast and Furious operation.
The deaths magnify the already gut-wrenching news of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry's death by a man armed with Fast and Furious weapons in December 2010. The slaughter of the teenagers also draws renewed attention to the hundreds of Mexican citizens who have been confirmed dead by weapons from Fast and Furious over the last two years.
Is this blood on Attorney General Eric Holder's hands?

8 Surprising Anti-Gun Celebrities

8 Surprising Anti-Gun Celebrities
Hollywood’s hypocrisy knows no bounds. While its multi-million dollar movie stars cash in on shoot ‘em up thrillers and cop dramas, they openly move to restrict gun ownership in this country. When the lights turn off and the cameras stop running, these stars put down their prop house guns and pick the Brady Campaign banner. When a fortune is made on the portrayal of guns on the silver and small screen and that cash turns into donations to the anti-gun lobby, it should make every Second Amendment supporter think: Where is my money really going?Fame is a powerful weapon, and it’s hard to believe that these celebs have anti-gun leanings. But they do.

W.Va. sheriffs say they wouldn't enforce assault weapons ban

W.Va. sheriffs say they wouldn't enforce assault weapons ban
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Several West Virginia county sheriffs said they would defy any federal assault weapons ban proposed by President Obama.
Earlier this month, Obama unveiled 23 separate executive actions to curb what he called "the epidemic of gun violence in this country." Additionally, he urged Congrees to pass a new ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines and asked for a universal background check requirement for all new gun purchases.
If that ban were to become federal law, at least five West Virginia sheriffs said they wouldn't enforce it and vowed to protect people's right to bear arms under their interpretation of the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.
Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese was among those who said he doesn't support an assault weapons ban.
"If an executive order comes across to arrest someone in possession of an AK-47, my answer is probably no, because that's violating their Second Amendment rights," he said.
Boone County Sheriff Randall White said he took an oath to defend the Constitution and recently sent a letter to Obama addressing his concerns.
Roane County Sheriff Mike Harper and Wood County Sheriff Ken Merritt have both signed a petition created by the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association to be a "line in the sand" against the federal government.
"The county sheriff is the one who can say to the feds, 'Beyond these bounds you shall not pass.' This is not only within the scope of the sheriff's authority; it's the sheriff's sworn duty," according to the petition's mission statement.
The group is headed by former Arizona sheriff and Gun Owners of America lobbyist Richard Mack, and has been designated an anti-government group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Merritt said he signed the petition last month because some of his family members have died at war to protect the Constitution.
"[Obama] can make statements on a podium, but to me it's saying, 'You don't have the Constitution anymore and we didn't give it to you as a right in the first place,'" Merritt said.
Merritt said he didn't want to be labeled a radical and hasn't decided exactly how he would defy the assault weapons ban.
"I'd do everything I can so help me God," Merritt said. "I pray to never have to do something like that but I will use deadly force if I have to."
Kanawha County Sheriff Johnny Rutherford said he didn't want to address specific measures, but that his focus was on community safety.
"We're going to enforce the laws, whatever the laws are," Rutherford said. "I'm not going to get into the politics of it. Our job is to enforce the laws and make our community safe."
Rudi Raynes-Kidder, executive director of the West Virginia Sheriffs Association, said she's still researching what would happen if sheriffs defy federal laws.
The association plans to discuss the topic and decide whether to adopt a unified stance on the issue during a meeting next month, Raynes-Kidder said. Until then, it's up to each individual sheriff to decide what's best for his or her respective counties, she said.
In recent years, many police organizations and unions have supported tighter gun control laws.
The assault weapons ban proposed by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., would make owning such weapons a federal crime. U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin declined Wednesday to comment on the proposed ban and what it would mean for sheriffs who defy it.
In its most recent major decision on gun control, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a prohibition on owning handguns in the District of Columbia. But in writing the majority opinion, Justice Antonin Scalia acknowledged that the right to bear arms was not unlimited.
Several sheriffs said they supported at least expanding current gun control laws rather than an all-out ban.
Studying the effects of violent video games and TV shows should be in the forefront of the gun control issue, according to Deweese. Also, more attention should be placed on mental health problems. He also supports making it stricter to make purchases at gun shows and hiring more school protection officers.
"What concerns me the most is the gun shows people have at say an armory. For instance, there's no background checks for anybody. If I want to go to a gun show in Eleanor and buy a 22 long rifle, I can give them $300 and walk out with it," he said.
Deweese said the recent dash to purchase high-powered rifles since the gun control debate heightened doesn't make him nervous.
"The fact of it is people have the right to bear arms. For the most part, most of the houses we go to on a daily basis have at least one or two guns already in the house," Deweese said. "West Virginia is well known for that and has been for years. And, of course, I'm a firm believer in the castle doctrine -- people have the right to defend themselves, especially in their own house."
White, of Boone County, said it's one thing to make it harder for criminals to buy guns, but law-abiding citizens shouldn't be punished.
"Background checks, that stuff is fine, that's not changing our constitution -- that's enhancing the laws, making it harder for a criminal to get a gun," White said.
Merritt said he supports Obama's proposal to ramp up law enforcement protection at schools. Several public schools in Wood County already have armed officers and he's meeting with a private school this week to place an officer there, he said.

The gun-show loophole myth

MILLER: The gun-show loophole myth

For the first time in 14 years, the CEO of the National Rifle Association (NRA), will testify on Capitol Hill. Wayne LaPierre’s appearance Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee underscores how seriously the nation’s largest gun-owners organization takes the latest assault on the Second Amendment.
Committee Chairman Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat, invited former Rep. Gabrielle Gifford’s husband, Mark Kelly, among others, to testify for the other side. In his prepared remarks, Mr. LaPierre will say, “When it comes to the issue of background checks, let’s be honest: Background checks will never be ‘universal’ because criminals will never submit to them.”
(This is the last of a four-part series on dispelling gun myths. Click here to read part one: The Assault Weapon Myth.  Click here to read part two The High-Capacity Magazine Myth.  Click here to read part three The Cop-Killer Bullet Myth.)
Currently, a gun owner who goes to a retail shop to purchase a gun from a licensed dealer is subject to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. The system, run by the FBI reviews criminal history, mental health and restraining-order records to weed out those who are legally barred from gun ownership.
The gun grabbers’ real goal has always been universal registration, and tracking every gun owner in the country would be a big step in that direction.
“The law already requires licensed gun dealers to run background checks, and over the last 14 years that’s kept 1.5 million of the wrong people from getting their hands on a gun,” said Mr. Obama, when he announced his gun-violence task force results on Jan. 16. “But it’s hard to enforce that law when as many as 40 percent of all gun purchases are conducted without a background check.”
The 40 percent figure that Mr. Obama and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, cite so frequently comes from a 1997 Justice Department survey. A closer look at that 40 percent number reveals it includes 29 percent of gun owners who said they got their guns from family members or friends and acquaintances.
That leaves 11 percent of firearms obtained through unfamiliar people. Of these, 3 percent reported they got their firearms “through the mail,” a process that requires a background check from a federally licensed firearms dealer. Four percent said “other,” and 4 percent made their purchase at a gun show.
The “gun-show loophole” is an exaggeration designed to foster the false impression that this is how the bad guys acquire firearms. A 2001 Justice Department survey found 0.7 percent of state and federal prison inmates bought their weapons at a gun show.
Gun shows aren’t the equivalent of the Wild West. The vast majority of vendors at the shows are fully licensed dealers who must run the FBI check at the time of sale. What the gun grabbers are really after are transactions between private individuals trading or selling their personal property.
The White House publicity blitz is having an effect on public opinion, as a recent poll put support around 90 percent for criminal-background checks for all gun sales. Washington politicians are determined to do “something” about the Newtown, Conn., shooting, but it makes no sense to put so much effort into an area where criminals aren’t buying their guns.
More good would be done by strengthening the current background-check system by ensuring states submit felony convictions and mental health records. That’s the most effective way to keep guns out of the wrong hands.

Politicians go after ammunition as a sneaky way to get your guns

President Obama speaks to media as he meets with representatives from Major Cities Chiefs Association and Major County Sheriffs Association at the White House to discuss policies put forward to reduce gun violence. (AP Photo/Carolyn Kaster)

MILLER: The cop-killer bullet myth

Give the administration credit for its creativity. The theatrical show President Obama and Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. are putting on in their effort to foist gun control on the public disguises a more subtle push to disarm America in the name of protecting cops. On Monday, Mr. Obama invited police chiefs from towns that have had mass shootings to the White House for a discussion on firearms and, more importantly, a photo opportunity.
(This is the third in a four-part series on dispelling gun myths. Click here to read part one The Assault Weapon Myth. Click here to read part two The High-Capacity Magazine Myth. Click here to read part four The Gun-Show Loophole Myth.)
The administration is harnessing the respect the public has for officers who keep them safe to undermine the Second Amendment. That’s why the White House’s “reduce gun violence” to-do list included a call for banning armor-piercing ammunition, or in the words Mr. Obama used in his Jan. 16 announcement, “bullets designed to inflict maximum damage.” After meeting with law enforcement last month, Mr. Biden called them “cop-killer bullets.”
Their concern is entirely imaginary, but effective in confusing Americans.  According to a Gallup poll last week, 67 percent of voters would support a new law banning possession of armor-piercing bullets by anyone other than the mlitary and law enforcement — even though ammunition of this sort has been banned under federal law for over 25 years.
The military uses the term “armor piercing” to refer to rounds capable of penetrating armored vehicles. The gun grabbers picked up on this terminology to describe a bullet made of hardened metals that can penetrate a soft body armor vest made of kevlar. The manufacture, import and sale of handgun bullets made of hardened brass, steel or any other alloy has been prohibited since 1986.
This legislation was never intended to ban rifle ammunition, because stolen handguns are the weapon of choice for criminals. Rifles are used less often in crimes because they are bulky and hard to conceal. Cops simply aren’t being killed by crooks using exotic, hardened projectiles, but it sounds like a scary possibility.
What anti-gun politicians really have on their mind is replacing the existing statute with a performance test to determine whether a bullet can penetrate soft body armor. For example, the District considers a “restricted bullet” to be one that can penetrate 18 layers of Kevlar from a pistol (though in December, the D.C. Council reversed itself and adopted the federal definition of a prohibited bullet).
Such a test is a sneaky way to outlaw common rifles. Many ordinary rifle rounds can penetrate a soft armor vest because rifles are significantly more powerful than handguns. Law enforcement and the military use ceramic plates for vests meant to protect against such powerful rounds.
While the recent action items from the White House are likely to be stopped by the House, that has never been the real objective. Mr. Obama and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California Democrat, are using their national platforms to sway public opinion and win at the state level. With a relentless push based on the use of myth and misleading terms, a recent Gallup Poll shows their effort may be having the intended effect.
Americans shouldn’t be fooled by gun control plans that address problems that exist only in the minds of politicians. The best safeguards against crime are capable law enforcement officers and an effective criminal justice system. When the cops can’t get there in time, the next best thing is having a gun for self-defense.

West Point Tracks "right Wing" Threats

West Point Tracks "right Wing" Threats

I received this article from a friend working for the government who believes there is a trend for the federal government to look at Americans in the conservative, small government, pro guns rights groups as potential threat groups. If this is true, then it is disturbing. Even more alarming is the report about the U.S. Military, in this case the U.S. Military Academy stepping clearly into the law enforcment realm by studying what they term "threat groups" inside this country.

The below is the article from The Blaze:

The Combating Terrorism Center (CTC) at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point released a study Tuesday warning against American “far right” groups including the “anti-federalist” movement and strong limited government activists.

The report, titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right,” posits that in recent years, and especially since 2007, “there has been a dramatic rise in the number of attacks and violent plots originating from individuals and groups who self-identify with the far-right of American politics.”

The analysis, conducted by West Point professor and CTC director of terrorism studies Arie Perliger, noted that his study “concentrates on those individuals and groups who have actually perpetuated violence and is not a comprehensive analysis of the political causes with which some far-right extremists identify.” He added that an in-depth look at the data provided addresses three crucial questions:

(1) What are the main current characteristics of the violence produced by the far right?

(2) What type of far-right groups are more prone than others to engage in violence? How are characteristics of particular far-right groups correlated with their tendency to engage in violence?

(3) What are the social and political factors associated with the level of far-right violence? Are there political or social conditions that foster or discourage violence?

The West Point professor said anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”

Perliger also identified limited government activists as belonging to one of three categories: “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement.”

According to the Washington Times, the report also draws correlation between mainstream conservatism and what it dubs the violent “far right.” The study then goes on to laud liberals as forward-thinking while maintaining that conservatives harbor a more archaic mindset.

“While liberal worldviews are future- or progressive -oriented, conservative perspectives are more past-oriented, and in general, are interested in preserving the status quo,” the report states.

“The far right represents a more extreme version of conservatism, as its political vision is usually justified by the aspiration to restore or preserve values and practices that are part of the idealized historical heritage of the nation or ethnic community.”

Citing a reported 350 “attacks initiated by far-right groups/individuals” in 2011, the analysis characterizes the liberal-democratic system as inclusive and “designed to emphasize civil rights” while far-right ideology inherently “excludes” minorities.

UrbanMan's comment: 350 attacks? Are you kidding me? I'd like to see what they list as far-right attacks. Also disturbing is the comments about a liberal (politically system) emphasizing civil rights when there is a huge call to take away substantial 2nd amendment rights while the right (conservatives) are characterized as basically racists.

Perlinger’s study, however, has not gone without meeting a degree of criticism. Speaking to the Times, a Republican congressional staffer slammed: “If [the Defense Department] is looking for places to cut spending, this junk study is ground zero.”

He added that the Combating Terrorism Center should be focused on radical Islam and, at the least, publish a companion report underlying the dangers of left-wing terror groups like “the Animal Liberation Front, Earth Liberation Front, and the Weather Underground.”

The CTC describes itself as “one of the leading academic institutions devoted to the study of terrorism” whose research is informed by three core components including” studying emerging threats, challenging conventional logic and offering counter intuitive insights.”

How to Make a Sawed off Shotgun

How to Make a Sawed off Shotgun

A sawed-off shotgun is a deadly weapon, and depending on local legal parameters, may be illegal.
"Sawed-off shotgun", any weapon made from a shotgun, whether by alteration, modification or otherwise, if such weapon as modified has one or more barrels less than 18 inches in length or as modified has an overall length of less than 26 inches.
"Shotgun", a weapon having a smooth bore with a barrel length equal to or greater than 18 inches with an overall length equal to or greater than 26 inches, and capable of discharging a shot or bullet for each pull of the trigger.[1]
A modified shotgun is more maneuverable and lighter than a full size shotgun while retaining much of the destructive power. Decreasing the length will, however, reduce accuracy and increase recoil.
This guide is applicable only to citizens of the United States of America. Please check the laws in your country of citizenship prior to modifying your shotgun.

1. - Choose the shotgun you want to modify. Single and double barreled shotguns are often cheaper, but pump-actions and semi-auto shotguns have higher capacities.

2. - Decide on the length of the barrel. The barrel must be no less 18 inches unless you fill out the appropriate NFA forms and pay the $200 tax (at that point, after getting approval from the ATF, the barrel can be any length), while the overall length must be a minimum of 26 inches. It is advised to err on the side of legality by having a barrel length of 18 1/2 inches. Accuracy is only severely affected when over 50% of the barrel is removed. Often the best place to stop is anywhere after the hand-guard or magazine tube ends. Less length equals less weight and slightly increased recoil.

3. - Cut the barrel to your chosen length. The metal is not hardened steel and will cut easily. You can use a hacksaw, bandsaw or a circular saw equipped with a suitable blade.

4. - Put your shotgun in a vice being very careful to protect the barrel from the vice. Measure the barrel to your preferred length and wrap some masking tape around the barrel. Measure again and make several marks on the tape. Connect the marks, making a line completely around the barrel. Carefully cut the barrel using the line as a guide.

5. - File any imperfections made by cutting the barrel. Using a tubing cutter will result in a ridge on the inside of the barrel, this ridge should be filed smooth.

6. - Dress up the cut with emory cloth.

7. - Decide on a length of the stock. A stock allows the increased recoil to be controlled more easily. Keep in mind that the overall length of your modified shotgun must not be less than 26 inches.

Tips:
  • Apply with the US Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives prior to modifying your shotgun, this is only required if you are creating a Short Barreled Shotgun (SBS) or Any Other Weapon (AOW), namely a shotgun less than 26" OAL, or 18" barrel.
  • It is not suggested to use an expensive or beloved shotgun for this as it will ruin the resale value and you cannot undo this.
  • Do not try to use the shotgun one-handed without at least learning how to control the recoil.
  • SBS's can be a great deal of fun! Do your research, and with some simple paper work with the BATFE, you too can join the NFA world for a small fee. Don't listen to all the naysayers, or the great deal of Misinformation scattered across the internet. Do your research directly with BATFE, call them when needed, fill out the simple form, wait 60ish days, and you are well on your way to having a powerful, compact, sawed off shotgun!
Warnings:
  • Modified shotguns may be illegal in some places. As noted above local and federal laws apply. Visit BATFE's website for more info, or call them and request to speak with an NFA specialist. They are very helpful, and will answer any difficult or obscure questions.
  • Always follow basic safety rules when handling firearms.

DHS Wanting To Buy 7,000 Assault Weapons

DHS Asks for 7,000 5.56x45mm NATO Personal Defense Weapons Also Known as Assault Weapons

If ‘Assault Weapons’ Are Bad…Why Does DHS Want to Buy 7,000 of Them for ‘Personal Defense’?

The Department of Homeland Security is seeking to acquire 7,000 5.56x45mm NATO “personal defense weapons” (PDW) — also known as “assault weapons” when owned by civilians. The solicitation, originally posted on June 7, 2012, comes to light as the Obama administration is calling for a ban on semi-automatic rifles and high capacity magazines.
Citing a General Service Administration (GSA) request for proposal (RFP), Steve McGough of RadioViceOnline.com reports that DHS is asking for the 7,000 “select-fire” firearms because they are “suitable for personal defense use in close quarters.” The term select-fire means the weapon can be both semi-automatic and automatic. Civilians are prohibited from obtaining these kinds of weapons.
The RFP describes the firearm as “Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) – 5.56x45mm NATO, select-fire firearm suitable for personal defense use in close quarters and/or when maximum concealment is required.” Additionally, DHS is asking for 30 round magazines that “have a capacity to hold thirty (30) 5.56x45mm NATO rounds.”
Republican New York state Sen. Greg Ball also issued a press release this week bringing attention to the weapons purchase request.
Calls made to DHS seeking information regarding whether or not the RFP was accepted and fulfilled were not immediately returned on Saturday.
Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) on Thursday introduced legislation that would enact a so-called “assault weapons” ban. The bill would ban more than 150 firearms and limit magazines to 10 rounds. There is no expiration date on Feinstein’s bill.

In Michigan a team of volunteers is organizing the event, and this writer will be speaking in support of the Constitution, exercising my 1st Amendment right to free speech in defense of the 2nd Amendment.

In this episode of The Truth Is Viral, I take you through the streets of Alpena Michigan as I go door-to-door to businesses in the downtown area; openly carrying a sidearm in accordance with Michigan law.

Rather than just surprise local law enforcement with my sudden appearance as some reporters have done, I decided to speak with the Michigan State Patrol, the Alpena County Sheriff's Office, and the City of Alpena Police Department, letting them know of my intentions beforehand.

As a result of my conversations with local LEOs, I was not only told that it was my right to walk around town openly carrying a firearm, but I was encouraged to do so. I was even offered tips on where I could place my flyers, and informed that I needed a permit to solicit from the city. The Alpena City Police Department especially went out of their way to make my little one man protest a success; in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws.

Please share this video everywhere you can. I can't do this by myself.

Nationwide ammo shortage so severe that even cops can’t buy bullets; ammo rationing imminent

(NaturalNews) One of the great myths of modern society is that the police are heavily armed and have both ammo and personnel in huge numbers. In reality, it’s quite the opposite: police and sheriffs are dangerously under-staffed all across the country in nearly every city and town. Furthermore, severe budget cuts have left law enforcement with dwindling ammunition supplies. In some departments, it’s so bad that nearly the only ammo available is what officers are carrying on their duty belts.

And now it has just gotten far worse.
Thanks to outrageous Sandy Hook fear mongering by the mainstream media and political operatives like Feinstein, Obama, Cuomo and others, the American people have been rushing out to buy up every bullet, every rifle, every handgun and very nearly every gun-related product in the country. This is all because people like Biden, Obama and Feinstein are openly declaring war on the Second Amendment and threatening to outlaw or restrict firearms, magazines and ammunition.
“Channel 2 Action News has learned local police departments cannot get their hands on the ammunition they need,” reports WSBTV in Atlanta.
WSBTV continues:
“There’s been more demand for ammunition than there’s ever been,” reports Jay Wallace, owner of Smyrna Police Distributors in Cobb County. Wallace is now worried some departments could have to wait up to a year for factories to ship certain kinds of rounds in bulk. Leaders with most [police] departments … said they’re prepared to handle short shortages, but not long-term. “We’re going be starting to get very concerned at the six-month level if that’s all we have in stock, because then we have to start planning and rationing.Rationing?
Yep. It’s here already, and the global debt collapse hasn’t even begun yet!

47 States Revolt Against Obama Gun Control

47 States Revolt Against Obama Gun Control

Thousands of gun owners across America have had enough of the Obama administration’s attack on the Second Amendment – and they’re preparing to take their concerns to the capitols in at least 47 states this Saturday, Jan. 19, at 12 p.m.
Texan Eric Reed, founder and national  coordinator of the “Guns Across America” rallies, told WND he’s irritated about all the talk of new gun-control regulations and overreach by the federal government in violation of our Second Amendment rights.
“I was trying to figure out why people weren’t being more proactive about this, Reed said. “Then I realized I’m part of the problem. It takes somebody to stand up and say, ‘Hey, we’re not going to accept this. We’re against it.’
“We want Americans who feel the same way to come out. We want to stand up, be united and get our point across.”

Lawmakers Speaking Out Against Obama’s Gun Control Agenda (VIDEO)

Lawmakers Speaking Out Against Obama’s Gun Control Agenda (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, at a White House briefing, President Obama pitched his gun control plan to the country, in doing so, he acknowledged the tough road ahead and the partisanship that is likely to stall his efforts to reform the nation’s gun laws.
“This will be difficult,” Obama said in
his speech. “There will be pundits and politicians and special interest lobbyists publicly warning of a tyrannical, all-out assault on liberty — not because that’s true, but because they want to gin up fear or higher ratings or revenue for themselves.”
“And behind the scenes, they’ll do everything they can to block any common-sense reform and make sure nothing changes whatsoever,” Obama added.
While one can debate the merits of Obama’s remarks about his package of proposals being “common-sense” instead of Constitutionally dubious, what is becoming increasing clear is that getting Congress to ban ‘military-style assault weapons,’ ban high-capacity magazines, end the inaptly named ‘gun show loophole’ (ratify universal background checks for all private sales), and ban armor-piercing bullets will be – to say the least – “difficult.”
Already lawmakers in both chambers of Congress have spoken out against Obama’s recommendations.
